The tested model of Hyundai Elantra was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in February 2016. This ANCAP safety rating applies to all variants including the turbo.
Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains) are standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to all seats. Other standard safety features include electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), emergency brake assist (EBA) and reversing collision avoidance.
