The tested model of Jeep Cherokee was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in 2014. This ANCAP safety rating only applies to all-wheel-drive variants with a 2 litre diesel engine. Other variants are unrated.
Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard. Antilock brakes (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD) and electronic stability control (ESC) are also standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) is available for some variants. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to all seats.
