The tested model of Kia Sorento was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in May 2015. This ANCAP safety rating applies to all Australian variants built from August 2017 and on sale from October 2017 when specification changes were introduced. Updated New Zealand variants are covered by a separate rating.
Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting airbags (curtains) are standard. From October 2017, autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and lane keep assist (LKA) systems are fitted as standard.
