The Kia Stinger was introduced into Australia in October 2017 and is due for release in New Zealand in January 2018. This 5 star ANCAP safety rating applies to 4 and 6 cylinder Stinger Si, GT Line and GT variants available in Australia and EX, GT Line and GT Sport variants in New Zealand.

A separate ANCAP safety rating applies to Stinger 200S and 330S variants available in Australia.

Dual frontal, side chest, side head-protecting (curtain) and driver knee airbags are standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and lane support systems (LSS) are standard on the variants covered by this rating.
