The tested model of Mitsubishi Triton was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in April 2015. This rating applies to all cab styles, engines and driven wheels.

Dual frontal, side chest, side head airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard. Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) are also standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to all seats. Advanced crash avoidance features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) became available on updated MY19 variants. AEB is not available on earlier models. A reversing camera is available on some variants.
