ANCAP acknowledges Warren Truss’ commitment to road safety

Australia’s leading independent vehicle safety advocate has today acknowledged retiring Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon. Warren Truss’, commitment to road safety.

“On behalf of the Board I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the support Warren Truss has shown to ANCAP over many years,” ANCAP Chair Wendy Machin said.

“I’d like to congratulate the outgoing Deputy Prime Minister on his long standing commitment to improving vehicle and road safety in Australia, particularly in rural and regional areas,” she said.

“He has shown leadership in reducing road trauma, well before becoming the Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, and we thank him for his hard work in this area,” Ms Machin said.

“I look forward to the Australian Government continuing to support the important work of ANCAP to help consumers decide on buying a safe vehicle,” she said.

“Finally, I’d like to wish Warren and his wife Lyn all the best in their well-deserved retirement,” Ms Machin said.
