The Audi Q2 was first introduced in Australia and New Zealand in February 2017. This ANCAP safety rating applies to all Q2 variants excluding the SQ2 released in 2021. SQ2 variants are unrated.

Dual frontal airbags are standard. Side chest-protecting airbags are standard for front occupants and side head-protecting airbags (curtains) are also standard for front and second row outboard positions. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) is standard. A manually-set speed limiter was made standard on vehicles built from February 2017.
