ANCAP Safety
Tested
2017

The BMW 6 Series GT was introduced into Australia and New Zealand in September 2017. The ANCAP safety rating for the 6 Series GT is based on testing of the BMW 5 Series released in 2017. Additional side impact and oblique pole tests were performed on the 6 Series GT due to differences in side structure to confirm the results. This ANCAP safety rating applies to BMW 6 Series GT 620d and 630i variants.

Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane support systems (LSS), adaptive cruise control (ACC) and intelligent speed assistance (ISA) are standard.
