The Ford Mondeo was introduced in Australia in May 2015 and New Zealand in April 2015.

Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags and a driver knee airbag are standard. Antilock brakes (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD) and electronic stability control (ESC) are also standard. Several advanced safety features are not available on the base variant but are available on higher variants.
