The Ford Transit Custom was first released in Australia and New Zealand in early 2014 and upgraded in September 2019 (MY19). This ANCAP safety rating is based on ANCAP tests conducted by Euro NCAP in 2012 and applies to all Ford Transit Custom variants on sale in Australia from September 2019 and New Zealand from May 2018.

Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting airbags (curtains) for front seats are standard for all variants covered by this rating. An advanced seat belt reminder is fitted to the driver seat. An Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and a lane support system are available as standard on 19MY variants.
