TESTED 2022

The Ford Transit Custom has been tested as part of ANCAP’s Commercial Van Safety Comparison which assesses the fitment and performance of the active (collision avoidance) safety systems fitted to commercial vans.

The first-generation Ford Transit Custom – vehicles built from July 2022 - offers a range of active collision avoidance systems as standard. Performance testing of these systems demonstrated GOOD results for autonomous emergency braking (car-to-car and car-to-pedestrian) and its speed assistance system. These results contributed to its overall performance ranking of GOLD. Autonomous emergency braking in car-to-cyclist scenarios was MARGINAL, while its lane support system functionality was scored as WEAK.
