The Ford Transit has been tested as part of ANCAP's Commercial Van Safety Comparison which assesses the fitment and performance of the active (collision avoidance) safety systems fitted to commercial vans.

This assessment is separate to ANCAP’s traditional star rating program. Commercial Van gradings, such as this Platinum grading, focus specifically on the fitment and performance of active collision avoidance (ADAS) features.

The Ford Transit diesel van produced from February 2025 excelled in tests of its active safety performance. Equipped with a comprehensive suite of collision avoidance features as standard, the Transit outperformed its predecessor, earning an overall PLATINUM safety grading.

The Ford Transit now holds the highest safety grading in the large van (NB) segment, setting a new benchmark for safety performance in its class.
