The Honda Civic hatch was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in May 2017. The ANCAP safety rating for the Civic hatch is based on crash tests of the Civic sedan. ANCAP was provided with technical information which showed that the crash test results of the sedan also apply to the hatch. This rating applies to all hatch variants excluding the Civic Type R.

Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting airbags (curtains) are standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB), blind spot monitoring (BSM) and lane support systems (LSS) are available on some variants.

A full list of safety features and technologies can be viewed within the Technical Report (see download link).
