The tested model of Kia Rio (YB) was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in January 2017. This ANCAP safety rating applies to all variants.

Dual frontal, side chest and side head (curtain) airbags are standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fiited to the front and 2nd row seats. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and lane support systems (LSS) are not available.
