The Mazda CX-5 was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in February 2012. This ANCAP safety rating applies to all variants built from September 2016 where upgrades were introduced.
Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains) are standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to all seats. Autonomous emergency braking (City) and blind spot monitoring is standard on Australian variants.
