The tested model of Mazda CX-9 was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in July 2016. This ANCAP safety rating applies all variants (front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive).
Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting airbags (curtains) are standard. All three seating rows (outboard seats) have head-protecting side curtain airbags and all seats have advanced seat belt reminders.
