The Mercedes-Benz V-Class (V250d) was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in mid-2015. The V-Class V220d was introduced in Australia in September 2017. This 5 star ANCAP safety rating applies to all V220d and V250d variants, excluding the eVito Tourer.

Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting airbags (all three rows) are standard. A lane support system (LSS) is standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) is not available.

Mercedes-Benz have advised that some safety features included in the originally-rated model are not fitted to models built from April 2021. Removal of these features does not affect the ANCAP safety rating.
