The Mercedes-Benz Valente was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in mid 2015. The ANCAP safety rating for the Valente is based on crash tests of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. ANCAP was provided with technical information which showed that the crash test results of the V-Class apply to Valente variants.

This 5 star ANCAP safety rating applies to all Valente variants excluding the eVito Tourer. Dual frontal airbags are standard. Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting airbags (all three rows) are standard.

Mercedes-Benz have advised that some safety features included in the originally-rated model are not fitted to models built from April 2021. Removal of these features does not affect the ANCAP safety rating.
