The tested model of MG GS was introduced in Australia in December 2016. This ANCAP safety rating applies to all variants (1.5 litre front-wheel-drive and 2.0 litre turbo all-wheel-drive).

Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains) are standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and lane support systems (LSS) are not available.
