The tested model of Mitsubishi Mirage was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in 2013. This ANCAP safety rating applies to all variants, including the sedan launched in 2014.
Dual front airbags, side airbags and head-protecting side curtains are standard equipment. Antilock brakes (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), emergency brake assist (EBA) and electronic stability control (ESC) are also standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to both front seats.
An update to the Mirage was introduced from February 2020 to include autonomous emergency braking (AEB) as a standard feature. Mirage models sold prior to February 2020 are not fitted with AEB.
