The tested model of Peugeot 5008 was introduced in Australia in 2013. This ANCAP safety rating applies to applies to all variants.
The 1.6 litre diesel left-hand-drive European model was tested by Euro NCAP. ANCAP was provided with information which showed that the Euro NCAP results apply to all Australasian variants.
Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains) are standard. The curtains also give head protection for third row seats. Antilock brakes (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD) and electronic stability control (ESC) are also standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to all seats, including the third row.
