The Peugeot Boxer has been tested as part of ANCAP's Commercial Van Safety Comparison, which assesses the fitment and performance of the active (collision avoidance) safety systems fitted to commercial vans.
This assessment is separate to ANCAP’s traditional star rating program.
The Commercial Van Safety grading for the Peugeot Boxer is largely based on an assessment of the closely related Fiat e-Ducato, sold in Europe.
Since the Peugeot Boxer was first assessed in 2020 (BRONZE), improvements in the fitment and functionality of the Boxer's active safety systems see it now achieve a GOLD grading. Vehicles built from July 2025 and on sale from October 2025 are fitted with pedestrian and cyclist-detecting AEB, as well as a driver monitoring system.
Testing of updated vehicles showed the Peugeot Boxer provided ADEQUATE performance in AEB Car-to-Car and AEB Pedestrian test scenarios, and GOOD performance in tests of its AEB Cyclist, speed assistance and lane support system functionality.
AEB Backover is not available. Blind spot monitoring is optional on some variants.
