The Subaru Crosstrek (G6X Series) was first introduced in Australia and New Zealand in May 2023 (MY24). In June 2025, Subaru introduced an update to the safety specification of the Crosstrek for MY25 vehicles onwards, and this ANCAP safety rating therefore applies to all MY25 Subaru Crosstrek vehicles built from April 2025 and on sale from June 2025 (petrol variants from VIN JF1GU7KL5SG075155 and hybrid variants from VIN JF1GUEKL5SG078646). Subaru Crosstrek vehicles built prior to this are unrated.
This ANCAP safety rating is based on testing of the Subaru Crosstrek and the closely-related Subaru Impreza.
Dual frontal, side chest-protecting, side head-protecting airbags and a driver knee airbag are standard. A centre airbag, which provides added protection to front seat occupants in side impact crashes, is also standard.
Autonomous emergency braking (Car-to-Car, Vulnerable Road User, Junction and Crossing) as well as a lane support system with lane keep assist (LKA), lane departure warning (LDW) and emergency lane keeping (ELK), and an advanced speed assistance system (SAS) are standard.
