The tested model of Toyota Avensis was introduced in New Zealand in 2015. It is not sold in Australia. This ANCAP safety rating is based on tests conducted by Euro NCAP and applies to all New Zealand variants built from November 2016 when production changes were introduced.
Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to all seats. Autonomous emergency braking (City & Interurban) and lane support systems are available as standard.
