The tested model of Toyota C-HR was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in February 2017. This ANCAP safety rating is based on tests conducted by Euro NCAP and applies to all C-HR variants built from December 2016. C-HR models built from October 2017 are fitted with an updated autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system which introduces pedestrian detection capability as standard.

Dual frontal, side chest, side head airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane support systems (LSS) and pre-crash systems are fitted as standard on all variants.
