The tested model of Toyota Hilux was released in Australia in September 2015 and New Zealand in December 2015. The ANCAP rating applies to all variants (all cab styles, driven wheels and engines) built from July 2015.
Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard. Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) are also standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to all fixed seats. Upper anchorages for child restraints are fitted to outboard rear seats of Double Cab variants. These have a webbing loop top-tether routing device. Check the owner’s manual for instructions.
