The Volkswagen Arteon was introduced in New Zealand in August 2017 and Australia in October 2017. This ANCAP safety rating applies to all variants built from June 2017.

Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting (curtain) airbags and a driver knee airbag are standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane support systems (LSS) and a manual-set speed limiter are also standard.
