The Volkswagen Caddy was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in November 2015.

This ANCAP safety rating applies to Australian Caddy Trendline short wheelbase people mover variants built from November 2016, and on sale in Australia from January 2017, when safety upgrades were introduced. Van and long wheelbase (LWB) variants are not covered by this rating.

Dual frontal, side chest and side head-protecting (curtain) airbags are standard. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and a speed assist system (SAS) are standard. A lane departure warning (LDW) system is available as an option.
