The tested model of VW Golf was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in 2013. This ANCAP safety rating is based on Euro NCAP tests conducted in 2012 and applies to all front-wheel-drive variants (all engines and all body styles) including the Golf Wagon. The Golf Alltrack is unrated.
Dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to both front seats. Reversing collision avoidance and secondary collision brake assist are standard.
